We recently returned from the Keweenaw and had the opportunity for the first time to take Bear, our Great Pyrenees- German Shepard Dog, up the backside of Cliff Drive. It is a strong, solid hike towards the top, nice and steep, with some boulder hopping during the last bit. The reward is a great view of the surrounding county. It was so amazing to see our Mountain Dog handle the rough terrain that he was meant for. He was swift, well balanced and extremely agile, even at 100 plus pounds. He is an absolutely wonderful Adventure Dog but to see him in the environment he was designed to work in, was very demanding of respect; we are so proud! Bear, this salute is for you!
