Today’s tip will help prevent waking up to frozen boots when on a winter camping or backpacking trip.
Before bed, turn your sleeping bag stuff-sack inside out and then remove the liners from your boots. Place the bootliners inside the stuff-sack and then place the sack inside your sleeping bag between your legs for the night, keeping them warm for toasty feet in the morning. If your liners are not removable from the boots, knock as much snow and debris from them before placing in the stuff sack (most sleeping bag sacks are waterproof).

If you can procure an extra set, sleep with the nice dry extra pair of boot liners right on your feet! They will be good and warm in the morning.
